Get ready for a cracking-good December. The 1st day of the month marks the opening of the season for Dungeness crab up and down the California and Oregon coasts. As you already know, some of our most delicious and popular dishes on The Fish Market menu feature this unique crustacean – think Crab Louie Salad, California Sushi Roll, Dungeness Crabcakes, and of course Our Famous Dungeness Crab Cioppino – but this time of year is special as we bring in the first of season fresh, whole crab at its peak flavor.

Because we have decided to dedicate December as “Dungeness Month”, our official launch begins on December 8th , with a special-priced four-course meal event featuring roasted Dungeness crab and Hess Select Chardonnay. Call The Fish Market restaurant in your area to find out more details and purchase your ticket. We will follow this with additional Dungeness crab specialties highlighted on our daily menu.

The celebration will continue with our 22nd annual holiday crab sale, when we offer whole Dungeness to-go from the retail market case at our lowest price. Tentative dates for the sale are December 17th through January 3rd, and we will keep you posted as these dates depend, as usual, on weather, supply and other conditions in getting the crab to market.
