National Seafood Month
Date: September 29, 2011
October is National Seafood Month. It has been so for some years, but you may not have known this.
It is a fact that October is also National Roller Skating Month and National Popcorn Poppin' Month, among other celebratory things.
But we're happy to see seafood singled out for special recognition. With its variety of tastes and health benefits - from finfish
like salmon and halibut to lobster, clams, shrimp and oysters - seafood surely qualifies as one of nature's food wonders.
October is also the month of The Fish Market's anniversary. This year we are celebrating our 35th, and we're planning
a little promotion, so stay tuned for more on that as the month progresses. In the meantime, we look forward to serving you -
our guest - the finest and freshest seafood. In this crowded month of Octoberfests, apple harvests and pumpkin festivals,
we hope you can still find room for a steaming cup of chowder, an oyster on the half shell, or some mesquite grilled swordfish.
