The season for Pacific Northwest wild salmon is soon coming to a close. In the meantime, we should continue to enjoy a good selection of wild King salmon for the remainder of the month, and, weather permitting, availability of Coho (Silver) salmon for the first few weeks of October, from Washington, Alaska and Canada.
Wild salmon is, of course, something special. Its nutrient-rich diet from the wild provides the beautiful color, texture and unique flavor we associate with this popular fish. Salmon's high content of omega-3 fatty acids is also credited with health benefits ranging from lowering the risk of heart disease to reducing symptoms of depression. In addition, the Pacific Northwest fisheries are generally considered among the finest, most well-managed and sustainable in the world.
The Fish Market is committed to providing our guests with the freshest, highest quality fish, and we've been proud to feature wild salmon on our menus and out of the retail market, when in season, for over 30 years. Check with your local restaurant for availability before your next visit.
